Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2023 Nissan Frontier is available in five trim levels. The S and SV trims are available with 4x2 and 4x2 drivetrains and both king and crew cabs. The SV is also available in a crew cab long bed version. The third trim, Midnight Edition, is available with a crew cab and comes with 4x2 and 4x4 options. The PRO-X (4x2) and PRO-4X (4x4) trims are available with a crew cab. The SV trim includes 16-inch styled wheels, while other trims include 17-inch wheels. All trims include LED taillights. LED daytime running lights and LED fog lights are included in the Midnight Edition and both PRO trims. You can add heated outside mirrors at the SV trim and above. The PRO trim levels have an available bed-mounted 120-volt AC power outlet.
Engine (Power)
All trim levels come with a 3.8-liter direct injection gasoline DOHC 24-valve V-6 engine, generating 310 horsepower and 281 pound-feet of torque. With the King Cab 4x2, you can tow up to 6,720 pounds and carry a maximum payload of 1,610 pounds.
Performance
The 2023 Nissan Frontier has a 9-speed automatic transmission. The PRO trims include a tow-haul mode switch, which is available in the SV. Both PRO trim levels also come with Bilstein off-road performance shock absorbers.
Interior
Cruise control is included in all trims, with intelligent cruise control available for all except the Midnight Edition, where it comes standard. Dual-zone automatic temperature control is available in the SV and included in the PRO-X and PRO-4X trims. All trims include a 12-volt DC power outlet, and some trims offer an available 120-volt AC power outlet in the rear center console. The S, SV, and Midnight Edition trims include cloth seats, and leather-appointed seats are available for some trims. The PRO trims come with embroidered seats included. A heated steering wheel and heated front seats are available for the SV, PRO-X, and PRO-4X trims. All trim levels come with USB-A and USB-C ports, a 7-inch advanced drive-assist display, and a NissanConnect 8-inch (S, SV, and Midnight Edition) or 9-inch (PRO-X, PRO-4X) color touch-screen display. Both PRO trims also include a Wi-Fi hotspot with NissanConnect. You can choose to further upgrade your PRO-X or PRO-4X with a Fender premium audio system with 10 speakers and subwoofers or a wireless charger.
Safety Features
All trim levels include intelligent forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, hill start assist, trailer sway control, vehicle dynamic control with a traction control system, and more. All trims have the Nissan advanced air bag system with supplemental air bags for the driver and front passenger and roof-mounted curtain air bags with rollover sensors. Safety features available in all trims, but included in the Midnight Edition, include lane departure warning, blind spot warning, and rear cross-traffic alert. The PRO-X has an available intelligent around-view monitor, with off-road mode added for the PRO-4X.
