Power and Performance
The LEAF has a 110 kW AC synchronous electric motor that offers up to 147 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque. Due to the all-electric drivetrain and its aerodynamic design, the LEAF is able to accelerate quickly. There are two battery options for the LEAF. The 40 kWh battery that comes on the base model has a range of 121 miles when fully charged, while the 60 kWh that comes on the higher trim has a range of 212 miles.
The LEAF can be charged at home using a 240V outlet and a portable charging cable, or at convenient charging stations located around the country. Reaching a full charge takes 7.5 hours for the 40 kWh. There’s also a quick charge option for times when you can’t wait for a full charge.
Safety and Driver-Assistance
The LEAF comes equipped with several features to make driving less stressful, safer, or easier. For example, the e-pedal allows you to drive with only one pedal. Pressing the pedal causes acceleration, while easing off the pedal reduces the speed. When desired, there is a separate brake pedal.

It comes with push-button start, power windows, power locks, and automatic temperature control. The front seats can be adjusted manually for more customized comfort.

Staying connected is a breeze thanks to the LEAF’s NissanConnect 8″ color display with multi-touch control, voice recognition, Apple CarPlay integration, and Android Auto compatibility. Other connectivity features include:
